Sea Kayak Adventure & Island Camping Weekend
Explore the undeveloped barrier island situated off Wrightsville and Carolina Beach. These islands are a mix of beach, marsh, and maritime forest and provides prime bird habitat as well as recreational opportunities. We will paddle 2 miles from the wildlife access point in Carolina Beach along the inter coastal to our camping spot at the high dunes of Masonboro. Camping on the dunes provides a panoramic view of Masonboro Sound, the inter coastal and the Atlantic Ocean. Truly one of the most scenic coastal camping areas in North Carolina! After we set up camp participants are welcome to walk the beach, explore the dunes, or just kick back and enjoy the view. Full Moon Paddle
Enjoy a special and memorable event. Navigating your kayak by moonlight is a mystical experience you won`t soon forget. This unique kayak tour allows for a grand view of the moon rising into the night`s sky. The atmosphere is peaceful and calming, yet spectacular.
